30 Days Of Total Victory ; Introduction

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.” (James 5: 16-18)

Prayer is communication between man and God. Man’s human nature was not designed to exist all by itself. It was designed to be influenced, inspired and driven by God’s spiritual nature. There is no vacuum in the spirit realm. Man is either being driven by God or Satan (Job 32:8). Prayer is the opportunity to draw inspiration from God, engage the spiritual world and to relate with God.  We receive spiritual realities in prayer and then translate them into physical realities. That’s what we see summarized in James 5:16-18 about Elijah. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours yet he was able to successfully walk in the miraculous realm, in victory and dominion over natural factors. He took control of a whole nation by stopping the rain for three and a half years. The implication of the drought was that he paralysed the agriculture-based economy of the country to get their attention. He did this through prayer because he partnered with God on the matter. You also can dominate the forces of nature and circumstances when you know how to engage God in prayer.

Do not think that good things only happen to “fortunate” or “lucky” people. If you have access to God, you have the same nature as God, your spirit is alive and you can connect to Him on the right frequency. If you’re not born again, you are not connected to Him at all. You are over-rating yourself and self-deceived if you think you do not need a Power higher than yourself. (Psalm 61:1-4). People are currently being overwhelmed at every level in business, marriage, financial situations, politics etc. You need God and the first step is to acknowledge that you can do nothing by yourself (John 5:19-20). Ask for His forgiveness and always maintain your right standing with God. Be passionate in prayer. Do not use prayer as an activity to satisfy your conscience. Always pray with your whole heart like Hannah (1 Samuel 1: 10-18). Be persistent in prayer for as long as necessary. When Elijah prayed for the rain to come back, he prayed seven times until a cloud showed up in the sky (1 Kings. 18).

  • Fasting
  • Worship
  • Seed of faith (you may decide to seal each day’s prayer with a seed, as you are led)

If you are not saved, chances are that your prayer will be ineffective. Proverbs 15:8 says, The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight. If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and personal savior, say this prayer, “Lord Jesus I come to You today as I am. I believe in my heart that You died on the cross for me and I confess with my mouth that You rose again for my justification. Be my Lord and personal savior. I hand over my life to You. Wash me clean and give me the grace to live for You. I am a new creation! I am saved. Thank You Jesus! Amen”
