And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad. 1 Samuel 1:18
Countenance means the appearance of your face, especially the features and expression. In simple terms, it means how bright or dull your face is. When you want to know whether a person is happy or sad, the first place to look is the face. If the face is bright and smiley, then the person is most likely happy but if the face is gloomy and dull, then something is wrong. In verse 10 of our opening scripture, Hannah was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. Her countenance was so dull that Eli the high priest took notice. She prayed so much and got tired of praying out and then started praying in her heart with only her lips moving. Her dull countenance did not change. It remained gloomy. It was after the prophet sealed her prayer and she received it that her countenance changed. The next verses give us the testimony that came out of that. ”And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her. Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying , Because I have asked him of the LORD.” (Vs 19-20). She got her miracle.
Beloved, if you want to receive your miracle, you need to change your countenance. A bright face is proof that you believe God has done what you asked of Him. That confidence will hasten your expectation. Unfortunately, many believers don’t know this. They go to God in prayer and tell Him all their problems but when they finish praying, they still wear worry and fear on their face; they don’t show any excitement in faith. They go to God with their problems and still go back with the same problems and say God does not answer prayer. No! God answered but you did not show any sign of expectation so the Angel carrying the answer to your prayer went back with it. Make up your mind this month to always wear a cheerful look no matter what. “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.” (Proverbs 15:13).

Healed of Achaere (leg ulcer)
One Wednesday night, as I was lying down to sleep, I felt something on my leg. I ignored it. The following morning, I saw marks on the leg. Before the day ran out, it got swollen and reddish like achaere (leg ulcer). It was itching me and I knew if I scratched it and it opened, the leg ulcer would begin. I endured it till the next Tuesday and came to service. I gave altar seed, returning every projection back to sender. I continued praying and applying the oil and blood. Within 2 days, it dried up. Praise God.
