For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. Job 22:26

‘Delight’ means someone or something that gives you great enjoyment and pleasure. Therefore, delighting in the Lord means being excited about God and the things of God. It means always longing to be in God’s presence, whether alone in your house or in church. It means being careful not to do things that will hurt God. Joseph was lifted because his delight was in the Lord. He loved God so much that he refused to take the shortcut of sleeping with Potiphar’s wife. He said, “…how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (Genesis 39:9). David was another man who got lifted because of his delight in the Lord. The book of Psalms is full of his expression of love for God. He said in Psalms 37:4 “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” No wonder he went from being a shepherd boy to being the king of Israel. Infact he so delighted in the Lord that God called him “the man after my heart” (Acts 13:22)

If you delight in the Lord, you will derive joy in spending time with Him in prayer every day. If you delight in the Lord, you will study His Word on daily basis, not as a religious routine but because you enjoy His word. If you delight in the Lord, you will not hesitate to give Him whatever He demands from you; your time, your resources, your talent, your energy. Even your money will not be difficult to give when your delight is in the Lord. If you delight in the Lord, you will not hesitate to win souls. If you delight in the Lord, you will dwell in His presence, and only those who dwell in His presence are protected from evil and lifted. Beloved, delight in the Lord.

If at this stage in your Christian walk, you are still being pushed to do the things of God, your delight is not in Him at all. If you have still not given your Firstfruit to God, your delight is not in him. Your lifting to your next level is tied to your delight in the Lord. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you today.
Psalm 91:1-16

Safe delivery
I want to thank God for saving my daughter and her baby. When she was due for delivery, she was in labour for 3 days. The hospital where she was couldn’t handle her case so she was transferred to another hospital. I remembered the blood of Jesus. I got it, prayed and applied it in her mouth and on her tummy. Before 9pm that day, she delivered a healthy baby boy. Praise God
