And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’ son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. And David enquired at the LORD…” 1 Samuel 30:7, 8

After David encouraged himself in the Lord his God, he moved to the next thing; he enquired of the Lord. He first of all calmed himself down, then he went to God to ask what to do about the situation. This is something many believers don’t do. As soon as something happens, they jump into frenzy and make hasty decisions that eventually worsen the situation. It is very important to go to God in prayer and ask Him the way out of the situation. There is always a way out of whatever situation you find yourself. Apostle Paul said in I Corinthians 10:13, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” Only God knows the way of escape. So when you ask Him to tell you what to do, He will.

You may say, “talking to God is easy but how do I know what God’s response or leading is?” In the time of David, they had a priest who used ephods to know what God is saying. Today, you can get the leading of God in several ways. Every child of God has a sanctified mind and can hear God. God can respond to you through an audible voice; He can respond through His voice in your spirit; He can respond by constantly flashing it in your mind; He can also speak through dreams; He can also lead you through the Set man over your life. If you have not grown spiritually to the level of hearing God for yourself, the safest thing to do is to go to your Pastor. God can tell him what He wants you to do about the situation. Know that in all the ways God shows you what to do, you must have inner peace. If you don’t have peace, pray more.

Beloved, don’t make hasty decisions or decisions that seem humanly sensible. Lot chose Sodom and Gomorrah but didn’t know God was planning to destroy them. Let God always be the source of your decisions.

Healed of strange leg itching
During a service, the only money in my bag was N1000. I sowed it as altar seed as we prayed. When I got home that day, my leg began itching me and soon turned reddish in colour. I came back to daddy and he prayed for me, returning it back to sender. He also gave me his mantle. Before the end of that day, my leg was normal. Praise God!
