“That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.” Hebrew 6:18
Beloved, God doesn’t lie. To show us how serious He is about His promises, He swore. Yes, God confirmed His promises to us by taking an oath. “For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by himself;” (Hebrew 6:13). God wanted to assure Abraham and thus his generation that He would surely bless and multiply him and to truly be convincing, He swore by himself. So like our memory verse states; by two immutable things it is impossible for God to be a liar. So what is the meaning of ‘immutable’ or when is the word used? When something is immutable, that thing is unable to be changed without exception. It is something that is not able to be altered in the memory, after its value is set initially. It is something that has become a constant. So God’s Word has gone forth concerning you and it cannot be altered. God’s word and precious promises have been said over you and nothing can alter it in your life.
Beloved, God doesn’t lie, He doesn’t deceive, there’s no darkness in him, no shadow of turning. You can count on His words because He doesn’t alter the words that He has spoken. He doesn’t change in and out of seasons; He remains ever constant. Has God made a promise to you? Has your prophet made some declarations upon you? Beloved, you can count on those promises, you can sure bet on the word of God that you have received and wait on it. Mark 13:31 says, “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.” So be rest assured that God’s words shall not fail. They shall all be fulfilled. God doesn’t lie at all for He is not man.
God did wondrous things in my life after our fasting and prayer program. My elder brother hardly responded whenever I had a need and called him so I made up my mind not to call him for help again. After the prayer program, he was the one that called me and asked me what I wanted. Praise God!
