And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. Exodus 16:35

When the children of Israel left Egypt, God took them through the wilderness. The wilderness is a terrible place to go through; a dry expanse of land without any hope of food and water. How then could over three million people have survived? If they were to cultivate food, how much can they produce? If there was somewhere to buy food, how much can they afford everyday of the journey for forty years? They must have wondered about all these. At some point, some people were angry with God, saying that He brought them out there to destroy them; simply because they could not comprehend how their supply would come. God had a surprise for them proving that He is omnipotent and can never be taken unawares. He gave them manna. It fell like snow which they collected, baked and ate every day. Bible history has it that manna contained all the nutrients needed in the body. It was enough food for them every day for forty years. When they said they needed meat to add to the manna, God added quail to their diet. What an awesome God. “The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.” (Psalm 105:40-42). Indeed, God is a supplier.

I have heard some people say that the days of miracles are over. This is an error. If God came through for them during the time of the law, He will much more come through for us who are walking in Grace now. If He took care of them then, He surely will take care of all who trust in Him today. If He supplied their needs then, He will do much more now. Only believe. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19). In spite of the hardship around, God will supply your needs. Look up to Him and not to men.

Turn around
Before I started coming to Praise Tabernacle, I lived in abject poverty, with nothing working for me. I wore one slipon for over 3 years everywhere I went to because I had nothing else. I had no shoes. Now I am a member of Praise Tabernacle, I am seeing the blessings of God in my life. Doors have been opening for me. I now buy things the way I want. I also desired God to upgrade me from riding keke (Tricycle) which I have been doing for years, to a bus. So, I prayed about it during a service one day and paid my full tithe. God answered me and gave me a car to work with. Praise God.
