“Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.” Jeremiah 1:9
The word that changes things is God’s word in your mouth and not your own words. Your own words lack power. It is the Word of God that has all power. Hebrews 1:3 says, “…and upholding all things by the word of his power…” The world was created by the Word of God and is still sustained by the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” That is how powerful the Word is. It was this Word that God put in the mouth of Jeremiah. So when you want to change your situation, you speak the Word and not your word.
“God’s word in your mouth” comprises of two things; Knowing the word and speaking the Word. You can’t speak the Word that you don’t know and knowing the Word alone without speaking it will not bring result. You have to consciously store the Word in your spirit so that as occasion demands, you speak the word to situations and get the desired result. Jesus overcame temptation because He had the Word and He spoke it. At age 12, He was already learning the Word and asking questions that marveled teachers in His time. Little wonder He prevailed. When commissioning Joshua, God told him, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8
You need to constantly study the word, meditate on it and speak it. Saturate your environment with God’s Word and you will be surprised how your life will turn out. God’s Word in your mouth is all you need.
Joshua 1:1-10, Matthew 4:1-16
During the 40 days of Power program early this year, daddy Larry gave me a prophecy that God will do something in my life that would make me celebrate. He said he didn’t know how it would happen but I would surely rejoice. Few weeks later, God blessed me with N500, 000. Praise God!
[Spend some time and worship God. Thank Him for all He has done.]
