HOUSE FELLOWSHIP STUDY

SOUL WINNING

BRIEF REVIEW
Last month we learnt how you win souls. There are different ways of winning souls. Winning souls starts from fervent prayer for the unsaved. This is because most time the eyes of the unbelievers are blinded that their hearts hardened (John 12:40, 2 Corinthians 4:4, Exodus 7:14). So before you proceed to share the gospel, you settle things in the spirit. The next thing is to preach any of the messages discussed before. Then you align your lifestyle with the Word and Ways of God because of those who are watching you. You also support the preaching of the gospel through sponsoring media and outreach programs, and so on. (Refer to last month’s devotional for more details of this review)

HOW TO BE A GOOD SOUL WINNER
• Be ever ready to witness. Whenever opportunity presents itself, take it.
• Be always conscious of your conduct because people are watching.
• Never hide your identity. Stand for the right thing in your office, school, neighbourhood, etc
WHY YOU MUST WIN SOULS
• The world is headed for destruction and people need salvation. Thus the need for a preacher (Romans 10:13-15)
• Only the gospel can change (Romans 1:16,)
• The message has to get to the ends of the earth before Jesus comes (Matthew 24:14)
• There is a need to depopulate hell
• You will be held responsible if you don’t win souls (Ezekiel 3:18-19)
GAINS OF BEING A SOUL WINNER
• You cause great joy in heaven each time you bring in a soul. When God is happy with you, it opens the door of favour and answer to prayer for you. (Luke 15:3-10)
• The people you minister to may show you gratitude and affection in kind. They might have a parent who is in position to help you. It would be easier because you have opened the door with your ministration. (Philippians 4:14-19)
• Your reward is great both on earth here and crowns are stored up for you in heaven. (1 peter 5:4, Luke 18:28-30)
• You can never lack or be stranded. God always provides your needs and makes you comfortable. Ardent soul winners carry an anointing that gives them strange favour, easy breakthrough, and on-time provision and protection. (Acts 8:39-40, Psalms 37:25)
• You avoid the curse (1 Corinthians 9:16)
• You show your fruitfulness and so God does not cut you off. (John 15:1, Matthew 21:19)
• You are wise (Proverbs 11:30)
