“Nay, in all these things we are more than conqueror through him that loved us.” Romans 8:37
Beloved in Christ, your joy shall not elude you this month at all in Jesus name! Many believers move around feeling defeated even before challenges come, and when they eventually come, they feel so defeated that victory seems like a far cry. You see, there is a discrepancy in our hearts between when God want us to win and when we want to win. God wants you to have victory always, and so it’s a matter of “when” you overcome the challenge and have the victory. The race is not to the swift or to the strong ‘but’ to the one who endures till the end. So if you can wait it out till the end and at God’s ‘when’, then you will win.
If God doesn’t want you to win, why did He call you more than a conqueror? If God doesn’t want you to win, then why did Jesus come and suffer all He did? Why did God give you the blood of the Lamb for victory? 2 Corinthian 2:14, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” Beloved, you are a winner always. No matter what the devil does or orchestrates against you, you must come out a winner. It’s just a matter of God’s “when” and your own “when”.
Don’t be gloomy, walking around feeling defeated. Be joyful always. Be like David for he said, “I killed the lion, I killed the bear and I will kill you giant Philistine”. Again I say, be joyful!
1 Samuel 17:1-35, 2 Corinthians 2:14, Revelations 12:11
I suffered from delays in my academics. A program that was meant to last just 3 years ended up taking 6 years. In my finals, I wrote the exam but failed one paper. I registered for it and wrote it again the next year but I still failed a paper. It was though there were forces that said I would not succeed. I came and met daddy Larry after listening to him on radio. He prayed for me and told me to write it again, that I will make it. I did, but on the day of the exam, I went blank in the hall for 30 minutes. I cried and began to pray. Suddenly help came and the answers flooded my mind and I began to write. When the result came out, I made it. Praise God!
