“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. Matthew 15:8
Beloved, everyday of this month should be filled with praises to the Lord. Praising the Lord shouldn’t be seen as a task but rather as part of our everyday kingdom lifestyle as His children. God wants us to be people who are called after His heart, a people of praise. To praise means “to commend, to applaud or to magnify”. Praising God is a lifestyle. It’s an expression of worship and adoration to the King of kings and admiration of Him. High Praises tune your spirit into a place of intense worship and intimacy with God. It also opens the door of the supernatural to you. Praise that is true, heartfelt and not religious in form has the power to awaken your spiritual senses and attributes and cause you to ascend into the heaven before the throne of grace, standing before your father as you worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Praise that is powerful is much more than clapping your hand and singing songs of God’s goodness. Yes, praise is all that too but it is much more. It’s a spiritual thing that is done with your heart and your soul being in tune with God so much so that the impact of the act affects your body. To the Pharisees, their praise and worship was only an outward show and not from their spirit or their heart. It was hypocritical and more of going through the motions. That kind of praise is powerless. It neither moves God nor wrought any miraculous or act of victory. Decide today to become a true worshipper. Set your heart in praises unto the Lord and add your voice to it.
In doing this, don’t forget that giving your Firstfruit is a sign to God that you are ready for His blessings in your life this year.
John 4:23, Psalms 47:1
My son abroad was struggling to make ends meet. So I came to church one Sunday with a burden in my heart, especially concerning him. It was an anointing service so I stood in the gap for my entire family as daddy Larry anointed me. Few days later, my son called me and told me that God had located him. He told me to expect something big during Christmas. I thank God for His intervention.
