SAY NOT, I AM A CHILD

“But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.” Jeremiah 1:7

Many believers think they are too young or unqualified to be used by God to cause changes in their lives, families and society. This was the same situation Jeremiah found himself when God met him, he told God, “Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.” (Vs 6). God had to reassure him and told him, “…say not, I am a child…” He was looking at himself with his optical eyes and not with the eyes of faith. Gideon had the same problem when God wanted to use him to overthrow the forces of Midian that besieged the Israelites. “And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? …And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee? And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’ house. And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.” (Judges 6:12-16). God had to also reassure him.

The rest of our opening scripture shows us why we should not look at ourselves with our optical eyes. “…for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.” God is the sender and what you speak is what He commands you to speak. This is instructive. For you to overthrow strongholds and establish what you want, you need to take yourself out of the picture. It is God doing it and not you. All you have to do is present yourself to be used and speak the words He has commanded you to speak, then relax and watch Him do wonders. Never look at any situation and think it is too big for you to pray about. No! Philippians 2:10 says, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;” So whatever needs to be overthrown has a name. As soon as you pray in the name of Jesus, the opposing forces come crashing and situations turn around in your favour.

PRAISE REPORT
Open doors of blessings
After ‘Business class’ one Saturday, we went into Father’s prayer meeting with daddy. During the service, we prayed for lifting. I prayed with all my heart because I really needed it in my life and that of my children. we had become objects of ridicule and gossip. Then daddy declared blessings on us. When I got home that day, my son in Dubai called me and told me that he bought a house. God opened doors for my family. I return the glory to Him. Praise the Lord!
