See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. Jeremiah 1:10

Before God gave Prophet Jeremiah the mandate, He told him, “SEE…” That word was not just to start the sentence. No! What God had in mind is very instructive. He needed Jeremiah to open His inner eyes and see what He was about to say. When God was done giving Jeremiah the mandate, He still came from time to time to test him again to know if he was truly seeing. “Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, what seest thou…” (Jeremiah 1:11-13). This showed how important it is to see.

Beloved, you cannot appropriate what God says concerning you until you see. It is your sight that determines what you seize out of the truths of scriptures and promises of God. This is not just seeing with the optical eyes, but seeing with the eyes of the spirit. Spiritual sight is a necessity for accessing kingdom benefits. It is not yours until you see it. The eyes of the spirit is called the eyes of faith because most times when God tells you to “See”, the situation around you does not align with what He wants you to see. He came to a childless Abraham and told him to see a “father of all nations”. He came to a timid Gideon and told him to see “a mighty man of valour”. He came to a stammering Moses and told him to see “a deliverer”. He did the same to several other people in the scriptures. They got the promise because they opened their eyes of faith and saw.

You might be broke now, see yourself prosperous. You might be sick now, see yourself healthy, hale and hearty. You might be childless now, see yourself carrying your babies. You might be jobless now, see yourself working and even employing people. Don’t let your situation limit your sight. You remain at the level of your sight. If you keep seeing your situation, you remain there but if you see where God is taking you to based on the promises of scripture, in the process of time, what you see will become your reality.
Jeremiah 1:1-16

Healed of leg pain
I suffered from pain in my leg, so painful that it was as though my heart would block. I applied all sorts of ointments and took different pain killers but it persisted. I got the oil of gladness and applied it on the leg after praying. That was the end of the pain. Praise God!
