“And said unto them, “Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.” Luke 22:46
Before He was arrested, Jesus went to the garden of Gethsemane to pray. He told His disciples to pray while He went to pray alone but when He came back, He met them sleeping. He was not happy with them. He asked them, “Why sleep ye?” And told them to rise and pray. Instead of praying, they slept instead. That state of slumber left them open to temptation. Spiritual slumber is the enemy of prayer. You need to be awake in the spirit to pray effectively. Jesus told a parable in Matthew 13 about a man who sowed good seeds in his field, “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” (Vs 25). The enemy cannot come when you are awake and watching over your blessing. It is when you sleep that the enemy strikes.
You might be asking “How do I sleep?” You sleep when you allow sin to creep into your life’ you sleep when you don’t have flair for the things of God anymore; you sleep when you stop attending services like before; you sleep when you don’t have time to study your bible and devotional; you sleep when prayer time has been overtaken by movies and surfing the internet.
Beloved, we are in the season of prayers. Gird up your loins in the place of prayer. Whatever will make you slumber in the spirit, get rid of them now and begin to pray effectively for victory. Join the brethren as we fire in prayer throughout the month of September and beyond.
Healed of poison
I heard Daddy preaching over on the radio about Prophecy, Healing and Deliverance service in different locations, so I decided to attend the one at Orlu plaza. Before then, I ate poison and it has caused me so much pain. During the service at Orlu plaza, when it was time for deliverance, the pastor-in-charge of that location sprinkled the blood of Jesus in my mouth and declared healing on me. Since then, I have not experienced the pains again. Praise God!

3. I am set free to succeed in Jesus name. I will go places and God will be glorified in the mighty name of Jesus.
4. As I work in God’s house, I will never lose my reward. Evil shall be far from me in the mighty name of Jesus.
5. Things that will cause us to praise God will continually happen in my life and family in Jesus name.
