“The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.” John 4:28-30
The major reason why God blesses us is so we can share our testimony with people. Testimonies drive home the gospel message. With testimonies, the gospel ceases from being a story in the bible to becoming a live story people can relate with. When you tell people that God is good, and prove it with what He has done in your life, they are easily convinced. Then you can bring them to the source of your encounter, just like Philip did. When he encountered Jesus, he went and told Nathanael. Nathanael was in doubt but Philip told him, “come and see” (John 1:45-46). When Nathanael came to Jesus, he had his own encounter.
Our opening scripture is an encounter the woman had with Jesus at the well of Samaria. She did not keep it to herself. She went and told the whole city about it. That is the reason for what God wants to do in your life. He wants to use it as an attraction to those who don’t believe. When they see it happen in your life, they will know that truly God is a rewarder. However if you refuse to share your testimony of what the Lord is doing in your life, you abuse the miracle and thus cut the flow. God will bypass you and go and look for others who will be willing to tell the world what He is doing in their lives.
Beloved, whatever God does in your life, tell people about it.
I want to thank God for what He did in the life of one of my friends who was facing challenges in her marital life. Whenever she fixes a wedding, it will scatter. I brought her to daddy who prayed for her and declared that her battles are over. To the glory of God, she is a married woman now. Praise God!
