On MONDAY, we were told to be valiant as soldiers. Even the best of us struggle with feelings of failure and defeat. But we must remember that we are part of the Lord’s army — and in the Lord’s army, we do not depend upon our own strength. We depend upon the power of the Lord! We depend upon the victory that He has already won!

On TUESDAY, we were told to fight to win. Remember, it is an already won fight. What you do is to enforce your victory. Victory is achieved by bringing your body into submission to the will of God. We need to discipline our bodies, bringing them under submission, and run the race of faith without looking back – we can be victorious. We will obtain an eternal crown, which will never fade!

On WEDNESDAY, we learnt things we need to fight the devil. Satan doesn’t want you to wear the armor of God, so he attacks your integrity with lies. He attacks your purity with lust, and he attacks your serenity with worry. Any time you worry, you have opened the door to Satan. You cannot be anxious, or worried, or fearful and, at the same time, be at peace. God calls us to live peace and to speak peace into the lives of other people. The shoes of the Good News help us to stand firm even in the midst of conflict and to work toward reconciliation when we can.

On THURSDAY, we saw that the enemy wants isolated believers. A church family will help keep you from backsliding. None of us are immune to temptation. Given the right situation, you and I are capable of any sin. God knows this, so he has assigned us as individuals the responsibility of keeping each other on track. We are called and commanded to be involved in each other’s lives. If you know someone who is wavering spiritually right now, it is your responsibility to go after that person and bring him or her back into the fellowship.

On FRIDAY, we learnt that we can make a difference. Several things have gone wrong in our lives and in our nations. It is not a time to be overwhelmed. It is time for warfare on a spiritual level. When the people of God join forces in prayer, things change. Let’s join together in battle to make a difference. May the kingdom of God come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
