“And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.” 1 Kings 17:15
God does not eat with your plate and return it empty. No. When God makes a demand on what you have, it is not because He needs it but because he wants to test your heart; whether you love the gift more than the giver of the gift. If you pass this test by giving to God, then He moves you to the next level of blessing and opens more doors for you to enjoy. Our opening scripture shows the result of such giving. The zarephat woman had only one meal to eat and die. God wanted to open the windows of supply to her but He couldn’t do it until she obeyed the law of seedtime and harvest. She had to sow what she had to reap supernatural supply, and so God sent the prophet to start up the process. When he asked her to give him the only meal she had, he was not being mean and wicked. He just wanted her to activate the principle that would bring divine supply. Long story short, she gave and she never lacked throughout the famine.
This is another time of test. Do you want the windows of financial blessings and supply to open up to you this year? Then you must pay your FIRSTFRUIT. This is your January salary if you are a paid worker, the first profit you make if you own a business and the first pocket money you get if you are a student. When you are done with your Firstfruit, then be faithful with your TITHE which is ten percent of your subsequent salary, profit or pocket money. When you do these, relax and wait for your abundance of financial blessings and favour. Just as the Zarephat woman enjoyed surplus, so shall you also.
Remember, what you have is not demanded because God needs it but because you need that law activated on your behalf to release overflow of blessings on you this year. Do it today!
1 Kings 17:1-16
During a service, I prayed with an altar seed of a thousand naira because it had been long I got financial favour from people. Few days later, someone sent fifty thousand naira into my account. I have been getting favours like that since then. Praise God.
