“But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them; let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee” Psalm 5:11
Beloved, you remember we learnt that joy doesn’t fill your heart as a result of things received nor does it come only when all your needs, aspiration and prayers have been met. Your joy should be in the Lord, because you know that all things work out for your good. If you are waiting for a time when your life will be perfect and all your heart’s desires met at once, then you misunderstood what being born-again means. We were erroneously told that once we get born again, everything will be alright; no more hassles, no more lack, no more devil; just joy. This has made most believers to expect only good. Today I ask you, “Will you trust God?” Therein lies your Joy. In trusting Him, no matter what may come your way, He will keep you joyful in all things.
Sometimes we don’t know why God permits some things to happen to us. As His thoughts are higher than ours, likewise his ways are far different from ours. Sometimes we lose some things that are precious to us; loved ones unexpectedly die, our long awaited promotion doesn’t come through again, or a medical diagnosis doesn’t change as expected. These things are usually evil works of the devil, but when they happen, God doesn’t allow them steal our joy as long as we trust in him. Remember, that true believers who suffer especially as a result of following Jesus shall also reign with Him. Suffering some things is part of our Christian Journey. Trials make us stronger and more fitted for the work of God. All we need to do is to trust in Him who works all things out together for our good.

Saved from death
I want to thank God for protecting me from harm. I was called to do MC in a 50 years anniversary event in a place where there was battle. I unknowingly parked my car in the compound of the arch enemy of the man who invited me. Young men came out with weapons, ready to kill me and burn my car as they had done to other people. I sprinkled my blood of Jesus in the car. Instead of harming me, some of them escorted me in my car to the main road and I drove away unharmed. Praise God.
