The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God…” Exodus 23:19

No matter how you look at it or try to justify it or try to be sentimental about it, your Firstfruit doesn’t belong to you; it belongs to God. When the children of Israel were about to enter the promise land, God made it clear to them on several occasions that the Firstfruit of their flock and their field belongs to Him. God is so serious about Firstfruit that He even demands the first child of a family as His. “Everything that openeth the matrix (womb) in all flesh, which they bring unto the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be thine: nevertheless the firstborn of man shalt thou surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou redeem.” (Numbers 18:15). Infact God is so jealous about it that He said, “But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.” (Exodus 34:20). He said if they would not redeem the ass (donkey), they should break the neck. That means instead of God not getting the Firstfruit, let it be killed so no one else will have it. Wow!

No wonder the blessings of some people are cursed; because they touched what belonged to God. They use their Firstfruit to pay bills and then they discover that after they have used the Firstfruit, the bills don’t look like they have been paid. Why not give God what belongs to Him so He can give you what belongs to you. There is an overflow that comes with obedience to the “Firstfruit” command. God is not a wicked God. He wants the best for His children. He said in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” So if He demands your Firstfruit in such a harsh time as this, knowing that it is your last, He has better plans for you. Don’t hesitate to give God the Firstfruit that belongs to Him. In case you have used it, you know how much it is. Ask for mercy and still give it. Then expect your doors to open.

Exodus 23:7-20, 34:18-22

Delivered from evil projection
In my shop where I cook and sell food, I don’t know who planted evil there. As I cooked one day, suddenly, fire leapt and scalded my hand. Before I knew it, the hand started swelling. I rushed and got my oil of gladness and applied it and the swelling reduced. The next day, a man came and told me not to be annoyed that he was the one that planted the evil where I sell. The next time I saw him, his hand was swollen. I thank God for returning the plans of the enemy back to sender.
