And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Acts 11:26
They were called Christians because they were Christ-like. When the people saw the lifestyle of the believers and heard what they preached, they saw no difference between them and Jesus when He walked among men. As we said earlier, Grace makes it possible for you to live a “Christ-like” life. Many people don’t want to take advantage of this aspect of Grace. They choose to live in their mess and expect grace to follow them as a sponge, wiping out the mess. No. if your salvation is not visible, the genuineness of it is in question. When Jesus comes into your life, His presence must be felt. There should be a constant drop in your appetite for the sins you loved before until you don’t desire them anymore. When Jesus came into Zaccheus’ house, his change was visible; he returned all the money he had wrongly taken from people. “And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.” (Luke 19:8). It was then that Jesus said to him, “This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Vs 9-10). When Jesus met the woman caught in adultery, he told her to “go and sin no more.” What makes you think you can be saved and still live in the old nature?
As you walk towards perfection, you become Christ-like every day. This is very important because we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. If we live our lives the same way the unbelievers do, what difference will our gospel message make? If they go to clubs and we do too, what will we tell them about heaven and they will take us serious? Beloved, your main purpose in your walk with God is to become Christ-like such that when men see you, they see Jesus. The more you become Christ-like in character, you will find yourself manifesting Christ-likeness in power. By all means be Christ-like.

I want to thank God for breaking the yoke of infertility over my life. After my wedding, it was difficult for me to conceive. I did all I could but the problem continued. During a service, daddy called me and gave me Tom-tom to lick and declared that in nine months time, I will carry my own baby. I believed the prophet, took the Tom-tom and licked. I took in that month and today, I am a proud mother of a bouncing baby girl. PRAISE GOD!
