“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)” Romans 5:17
Having known all we know so far, you have no business being defeated in life. When you receive this grace in abundance, you become a commander in life. However, inspite of the ability of Grace to make a man, some people still don’t live in all sufficiency of good things. They still suffer what the world suffers. This is because they are not growing in Grace. 2 Peter 3:18 lets us know that Grace can be grown in; “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” If you are still at the level of grace you were in when you got saved, there are things you cannot access, not because they have not been made available for you but because you still don’t know what to do to access them. With increase in grace comes increase in knowledge. The more grace you live in, the more knowledge you have about your rights in Christ and what to do about them.
You can grow in grace by spending time with the Word which makes you know God and Jesus more. “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,” (II Peter 1:2). Grace also increases when we walk in humility; “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” (James 4:6). We also grow in grace when we serve faithfully. “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:” (Hebrews 12:28). It is not God’s responsibility to grow the grace for you. No! It is your sole responsibility.
2 Peter 1:1-21
I came to a service, depressed because I had bills to pay which was up to N400,000. During the service, daddy spoke the command of God for those who are indebted to sow the little they have as a sacrifice. I struggled with my mind for a while but I went out with faith and sowed it, got anointed and left. That same day, I got a financial favour worth more than the bills I owed. I paid my bills and I still have some money remaining.
