“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” I Corinthians 15:57
Touch your chest and shout “I am a victor!” That’s who you are. When Jesus died on the cross, went to hell, defeated the hosts of hell and resurrected, He declared, “All hail… All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth. Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:9, 18-20). Jesus conquered all. As long as you have received Jesus as your Lord and personal savior, you are a victor.
However, you need to enforce this victory. The enemy knows he is defeated but he still parades himself like he owns the place. It is your duty to put him where he belongs; under your feet by the reason of what Jesus has done. This is done through prayer. “Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7. When Jacob was on his way back from Midian and he heard that Esau was coming to meet him with soldiers, he sent his family and goods ahead of him and “was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.” When he was done, Esau met him and instead of destroying him, hugged him passionately. What would have happened if he did not pray all night? His family would have been destroyed. Beloved you must pray!
You cannot walk in victory over the evils of these times if you are not a prayer person. I don’t mean the microwave prayer you make in a hurry. I mean locking yourself and praying until the burden in your heart lifts and you get the peace sign that your prayers are answered. Until you get to that point when you give prayer enough time every day, you are not set to live the victory that Jesus wrought. The prophets of old prayed; “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again,…” (James 5:17-18). Jesus prayed when He walked the earth; “And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.” (Luke 6:12). The early disciples prayed; “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.” (Acts 1:14). Your own requirement will not be different. YOU MUST PRAY!
Genesis 32, 1 Kings 17-18
SAY THIS PRAYER
Father I thank You for the victory I have in Christ Jesus. I receive Grace to appropriate my inheritance today in Jesus name.
Every spirit that causes prayer weakness in your life, I curse you now in Jesus name!
Brought back from coma!
During August PHD service, I came with the picture of my landlord who had been in coma for 2 weeks. I was really bothered because he is a very nice man. During the service, daddy asked us to lift the pictures of our loved ones up for prayers. I did and daddy just came to me, prayed for the picture and gave me his mantle to place on him. I went home in faith and did as instructed and my landlord came back. Today, he is hale and hearty. Praise God.
