On MONDAY, we were told to Resist the devil. The devil will come with his distractions and challenge but you must not let him rob you of your miracles. Resist the devil through your faith in God’s word, and your faith in what Jesus has done to the devil by reason of his death and resurrection. It is your place to say “enough is enough” to satan and his negative program for your life. God has done all He will do to the devil and has sent Jesus who defeated him and gave you victory over him. It is now left for you to make sure you receive all your blessings and the miracles you’re expecting. There will always be resistance but don’t stop pressing.
On TUESDAY, we began a new month by learning about Abundant Grace. Grace is the divine ability of God in a man that makes the man do what he cannot normally do. When grace comes upon a man, he ceases from all struggles. One thing Grace does is to make you have sufficiency in everything good so you can be full of good works. When you have abundant Grace, you are so blessed that you become a blessing to others. That is what God will do for you this month. However this Grace for all sufficiency cannot be yours until you encounter the grace that brings salvation. This means that if you are not yet saved, this grace is not at work in you. Just say the salvation prayer in the back pages of this book.
On WEDNESDAY, we learnt that we are saved by Grace. Salvation is not a result of right moral living. Your highest act of self righteousness will never make you please God or give you a place in the kingdom. Grace is the passport and VISA that takes you there. When man fell at creation, the sin nature became encoded in the DNA. So whenever a child is born, he or she carries that same sin nature. This means that you don’t need to do anything right or wrong to be a sinner. Everybody born into this world has that sinful nature. That was why Jesus came. Beloved, you can only be saved by grace.
On THURSDAY, we learnt that we didn’t deserve it. In no way did you deserve salvation but the love of God made it available to you. Grace is a free gift to take advantage of. Don’t walk about with your shoulder high thinking you got saved because you deserved it. Don’t think you are alive because you deserve it. Don’t think you are educated because you deserve it. Don’t think you are succeeding because of what you are doing. Don’t think you are what you are because you deserve it. No! a big NO! Grace made it all possible. Learn to be humble and return all the credit to God.
On FRIDAY, we learnt that change comes from within. Remember what we learnt days ago; you are saved by grace and not of works. When you try to work out righteousness without first getting saved, you will frustrate yourself. The truth is that the force of sin is stronger than human ability. No matter how hard you try to stop a bad habit by yourself, you will always fail because the sinful nature is still very much alive in you. It is when you get saved that you will begin to see gradual but steady transformations in your life. With time, the things you struggled with become a thing of the past. Once you are saved, give the new man in you room for expression. The new man in you finds expression in your outward man and appearance as long as you subject your mind to the Word of God.
On SATURDAY, we continued our house fellowship study on soul winning. We did a review of what we learnt last month. Then we learnt about; what soul winning is not, division of labour in soul winning, and signs of a won soul. Take time and go through the points again
1. How do you resist the devil?
2. How does abundant Grace come upon a person?
3. How do works and Grace go together?
4. Are you who you are by your ability or by Grace?
5. How do you deal with the sin nature?
6. What are the divisions of labour in soul winning?
7. What are the signs of a won soul?
8. Have you started winning souls for Jesus?
1 Accept Jesus as your Lord and personal savior if you are yet to do so.
2 Spend more quality time in praise, prayer and word-study.
3 Tell somebody about Jesus, lead them to Christ and bring them to church.
4 Ensure you attend church services more often than before.
5 Join a service unit and be more committed to it.
6 Read an inspirational book this week on any of the topics we learnt about during the week.
7 Get the oil of favour, the communion pack, our books, DVDs, CDs, PHD mantle from Praise Tabernacle bookshop today and start making use of them.
