On MONDAY, we were told to use our tongue right. God did not give you your mouth to eat rice, chicken, pepper soup, drink juice, and all manner of good things. Your mouth was given you for vocal expression; using the tongue to chart the course of your life. Where you are today is a result of what you said yesterday and where you will be tomorrow is determined by what you say today. Take advantage of your mouth today, not just for complaining and saying how hard things are but for speaking right words into your life and destiny in spite of the situation.
On TUESDAY, we were told to bridle our tongue. What you say with your mouth matters. Not just what you say to yourself but also what you say to others. You need to exercise control over it. The tongue has the ability to destroy what you or another has taken years to build. Have you noticed that the words spoken in a place determine the spiritual atmosphere? When words of love and positivity are spoken, the atmosphere is alright but when negative and hateful words are spoken, the atmosphere is foul. Bridle your tongue so you and those around you will be blessed.
On WEDNESDAY, we were told to sanctify our lips. We shall all give account of every idle word we speak, in the Day of Judgment. Even the ones you speak in your privacy are recorded and kept for your judgment day. Seeing that you will give account of every idle word you speak, sanctify your lips. It is allowed for unbelievers to use such words but for you it is not. Do it so that the blessings of the Almighty will rest upon you without any accusation.
On THURSDAY, we were asked a question, “What do you see in times of trouble?” What you see is what you seize. Whether you like it or not, there must be times when you second-guess your profession as a Christian, times when you are between the proverbial rock and hard place, times when what you want are not what you experience. What do you do? See with the eyes of faith! It is what you see that will eventually become evident in your life.
On FRIDAY, we were told not to complain. what do you do when things are not going on well as before? What do you say to God in your hard times? What do you do when the promise of God in your life is delayed? The best thing to do is to bless God in praise and worship. When you take your problems to God, He will make provisions for you that will last for you and your children unborn so learn to pray and not to complain.
On SATURDAY, we were told in our house fellowship study to Grow through God’s Word. We learnt how to access the Word, meditating on the word, receiving and doing it, and so on. Refresh your mind by going through it again.
