Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, (II Timothy 1:9)

One of the definitions of Grace is unmerited favour. Imagine you are standing at the backside of a queue for something. After waiting for a while, all of a sudden, the person in charge picks you from where you are and attends to you, while others are still standing on the queue, and the person does not know you from Adam. This gives a picture of Grace. God gave it to us when we didn’t deserve it. This is the love of God in manifestation. John 3:16 says, “”For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” His love for the whole world made Him send His son. Even when they didn’t care about Him, He still cared. “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:6-8)

This love moved Jesus to offer His life to save mankind. After all the mocking and scourging, Jesus still said, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do…” (Luke 23:34). On the cross, one thief got this salvation. All he needed was to ask. What manner of love! Beloved, in no way did you deserve salvation but the love of God made it available to you. Grace is a free gift to take advantage of. Don’t walk about with your shoulder high thinking you got saved because you deserved it. Don’t think you are alive because you deserve it. Don’t think you are educated because you deserve it. Don’t think you are succeeding because of what you are doing. Don’t think you are what you are because you deserve it. No! a big NO! Grace made it all possible. Learn to be humble and return all the credit to God.

<Success in business>
I am a business woman but for a while business was not moving well. So I came to church during a service, got the oil and blood and anointed myself and my shop. Then customers started trooping in. People became envious of my business to the extent that someone dropped a nylon bag full of feaces (shit) on my table without my knowledge. When I saw it, I took the blood and applied on the faeces and threw it away. The next day, my customers doubled even to the extent of about six people waiting for me before I open my shop. Praise God!
