“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9.
Beloved, in order to receive, you also need to understand the importance of confession in your faith walk. Confession doesn’t only refer to the instance of our memory verse above; that is confessing sin, but rather we refer to the positive side of confession; Confessing what the word of God says about you.
Confession is very paramount because it kick-starts the Christian life and is the foundation of other heights attained in Christianity. Let me bring to your remembrance what I mean. For instance, when you gave your life to Christ, you were asked to pray a sinner’s repentance prayer and then you were led to make a confession that you had receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, that you had become a new creation. This is in line with the way the scripture says salvation should take place; “that if thou shalt confess with thou mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9). This is basically the system through which we receive everything in the kingdom. You must first believe in your heart but like we said before, it doesn’t stop at believing in the heart or having a mental assent; it continues towards confessing it with your mouth. Without confessing, you can’t be saved! Without confessing God’s promises as being yours, you can’t receive any of His blessings. You need to constantly call forth that miracle you seek.
When you make a positive confession of God’s promises, it creates a reality in your life, and soon enough you begin to walk in that reality. Your faith can never get higher or become stronger than your confession. If you confess sickness, failure, or anything negative, you will have it. If you need the blessings, boldly make them your confession. When you hold fast to your confession of faith, you fight the good fight of faith and that’s where God and the miracle steps in. Don’t be afraid to stand in faith. Declare what you believe and it shall be well with you.
Romans 10:10, Hebrew 4:14
SAY THIS PRAYER
Dear Lord, I will not give up but will boldly keep confessing my promises because there is no other way to my miracles. Let your on-time miracle come to me as I wait, in Jesus name. Amen.
By the power of the Holy Ghost I cancel every negative confession that you’ve made before now, in Jesus name.
I always use the oil of gladness in my work place and I have been seeing the favour of God at work. In the season of scarcity, I keep getting sewing jobs. I was in my shop one day and a man came in. I jokingly told him I liked his designer slipon. He removed it, gave it to me and wore bathroom slippers. Then when I was done with the amendment he came for, he paid me several times more than the cost. I was amazed. God really works wonders. Hallelujah!
